Midden in het Amazonewoud van Peru ligt het dierenopvangcentrum Esperanza Verde. Zij geven dieren, vaak afkomstig uit de illegale handel, een tweede kans op een veilig bestaan in het wild. Ze zijn daarbij volledig afhankelijk van een groep vrijwilligers die hen met de dagelijkse zorg voor de dieren en het onderhoud van het centrum helpt. Om toekomstige vrijwilligers een realistisch beeld van het werk en het leven in de jungle te geven, heb ik voor Esperanza Verde deze korte film gemaakt. Een bijzonder prachtige opgave.

In the heart of the Amazon rainforest of Peru lies the animal rescue center Esperanza Verde. They give animals, mostly rescued from the illegal wildlife trade, a second chance at a safe life in the wild. They rely entirely on a group of volunteers who assist them with the daily care of the animals and the maintenance of the center. To give prospective volunteers a realistic view of the work and life in the jungle, I created this short film for Esperanza Verde. An incredibly beautiful task.
