Mijn camera gebruik ik het liefst om stemmen vast te leggen die opstaan tegen onrecht. En dat betekent ook: de straat op. Voor Wakker Dier filmde ik de Dierendag Demo, waar mensen uit het hele land samenkwamen om zich uit te spreken tegen de vee-industrie.

Begin 2025 verzamelden zich tienduizenden mensen op de Dam in Amsterdam om gezamenlijk het stemgeluid te laten horen tegen de groeiende ongelijkheid en de wereldwijde ontwikkelingen die worden aangewakkerd door extreemrechts. Voor ActionAid NL legde ik vast hoe we samen een krachtig en hoopvol signaal uitzonden.

My camera is my way of supporting those who stand up against injustice. And that also means: taking to the streets. For Wakker Dier, I filmed the Animal Day Demonstration, where people from across the country gathered to speak out against the livestock industry.

In early 2025, tens of thousands of people assembled at Dam Square in Amsterdam to raise their collective voice against growing inequality and global developments fueled by the far right. For ActionAid NL, I documented how we sent out a powerful and hopeful signal together.
